Irene Kitchings

Jazz pianist, bandleader and songwriter. Born Irene Armstrong in Marietta, Ohio, USA, in 1908, died in 1975 near Dayton, Ohio, USA.

In the 1920s, performed under the name "Irene Armstrong Eady." In 1930s, briefly married to jazz pianist [a254769], and quit performing after moving to New York City. Friend of [a=Billie Holiday] and later collaborated with lyricist [a734249] Married Elden Kitchings in the 1940s.
