Larry Mizell & Fonce Mizell

American songwriting and production duo active mainly in the 1970s.

Brothers of [a=Rodney Mizell] and cousins of [a=Cindy Mizelle]. See [l=Sky High Productions, Inc.] for their production company.

[a=Fonce Mizell] first worked for [l=Motown] Records, co-writing several hits for [a=The Jackson 5] including “I Want You Back,” “ABC,” and “The Love You Save.”

Through their Sky High Productions, the Mizell Brothers produced a series of jazz-funk and soul recordings for [l=Blue Note] and other labels, notably for [a=Donald Byrd] (Black Byrd, Places And Spaces), [a=Bobbi Humphrey] (Blacks And Blues, Fancy Dancer), [a=Johnny Hammond] (Gears), and [a=Gary Bartz] (Music Is My Sanctuary).

They also produced "Love To The World" by [a=L.T.D.] (1976) and [a=A Taste of Honey] self-titled LP (1978), which included the single “Boogie Oogie Oogie".
