Fred Catero

American producer and audio engineer (February 4, 1933 – October 6, 2022). Started out as a studio manager for Sanders and Rockhill Recording Studios in New York before moving to [l=Columbia Recording Studios]. In 1969 relocated to San Francisco and founded the [l=Catero Sound Company]. He also worked at [l=Boomtown, Sausalito] and freelance at various other SF area studios. During the 1980 he operated the independent label [l=Catero Records]. He was also a teacher at the [l=College For Recording Arts].
