Mary O'Brien (2)

Mary (born, Dec. 5, 1936 and died April 16, 2020 in Sebring, Florida). in her earlier years performed in plays at Lafayette Jefferson High School and then at Purdue University.

She was also a songwriter with Motown while in Los Angeles." Lafayette is in Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. Her only known songwriting credit is as "Margaret O'Brien" for "Castles In The Sand." recorded by Little Stevie Wonder. It was co-written with Frank Wilson, Hal Davis and Marc Gordon from the Motown office in Los Angeles and released on Tamla in 1964. She also co-wrote with Hal Davis the extremely rare Beatles novelty "Iddy Bitty Beatles", published by Jobete and issued by (Liz) Johns on the local Los Angeles Power Records label.

The remaining three releases on the label were by Frank Wilson, recording as "Sonny Daye."
