Kosmo Kint
Kosmo Kint's sound fuses the grit and soul of his native New York with the heady, free-spiritedness of Berlin's house scene. A purveyor of soulful electronic cuts, he weaves between uplifting disco and house, and American R&B, soul, and hip hop. He's cementing his place in the scene with releases like 'Love Songs' and 'Body Heat', two collaborations with British duo Prospa on Circoloco Records. Born to Trinidadian parents in New York, he grew up surrounded by the rhythm and cultural vibrancy of Carroll Street, Brooklyn. With his grandfather one of the pioneers of the steel pan, Kint has been tapped into music from day one. He attended New York's prestigious Professional Performing Arts School before studying at Boston's New England Conservatory, where he trained as an opera singer until the age of 21. Early in his career as a supporting vocalist, he shared stages with icons including Elton John, Alicia Keys, and Wynton Marsalis. Intrigued by Berlin's creative melting pot, he made the permanent move in 2016, quickly realising what people meant when they said it was his city. Kosmo has since dropped collabs with Silva Bumpa, Patrick Topping and Rio Tashan. He has upcoming releases with Carlita, Josh Baker, SG Lewis, Armand Van Helden, Sub Focus, Eats Everything + more. Live shows are also part of the picture: he recently performed a debut set at London's iconic fabric, and his world of groove, soul, and underground energy continues to expand.
