In his younger years, he wrote for [l305100]. Later, as Napoleon XIV, he wrote and sang the international novelty hit They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa! which charted twice - in 1966 at #3 in the U.S. and #4 in the U.K. and in 1973 when it reappeared at #87 on the U.S. charts.
