Tim Dry

British musician, mime artist, actor, photographer, and author. Starting in 1976, he studied Mime and Physical Theatre with Desmond Jones, and [a=Lindsay Kemp]. By 1980, Dry had joined the electronic/mime/burlesque/music troupe, [a=Shock (2)]; who were at the vanguard of the New Romantics, and supported acts such as: [a=Visage], [a=Classix Nouveaux], and [a=Ultravox], to name but three. Whilst with Shock, he and fellow group member, Sean Crawford, had also been performing as a robotic mime duo called [a=Tik & Tok]. They supported [a=Duran Duran] in 1982, toured with [a=Gary Numan] on his UK 'Warriors' tour in 1983, and would go on to work with [a=Vangelis]. During this period, they also featured in the Star Wars saga 'Return Of The Jedi'. On the demise of Tik & Tok, in 1984, Dry moved more into acting, and other areas of the media, but occasionally returns to music.
