Gösta Stevens

Swedish journalist, screenwriter, film director, lyricist, and translator, born on February 1, 1897 in Katarina, Stockholm, Södermanland, and died on September 24, 1964 in Oscar, Stockholm, Uppland.

Gösta Stevens began his career as a journalist but soon started writing couplets for local revues. In 1924, Stevens offered his services to [a2232215] for a summer revue at [url=https://matswerner.blogg.se/2010/february/kristallen-den-fina-djurgardsnojen-del-2.html]Kristallsalongen[/url] (1892-1924). For this, he wrote the couplet [b]'Kom som du ä´[/b] (Come As You Are). [a1773781] took notice of the young lyricist. For Rolf, he wrote many texts. He was also the author of many of the revues by [a5912383] and [a1573065].

Stevens also wrote other song lyrics. He notably wrote the lyrics to [b]'Sommarnatt'[/b] (Summer Night), with music by [a1364829]), often sung by [a656869], for example on the release [r26080072]. Furthermore, he wrote the lyrics to [b]'Jag har blivit mycket bättre nu på gamla dar'[/b] (I Have Become Much Better Now in My Old Age), sung by [a410389], a song that is also featured on the release [r15674183], a tribute album to her previously recorded songs.

Stevens was one of Swedish cinema's most productive screenwriters - between 1930 and 1954, he wrote almost 50 scripts.

Stevens was married to actress Ruth Stevens from 1928 to 1932. From 1941 until his death, he was married to Sonja Peltonen.
