Leon Zervos

Chief mastering engineer at [l283048] since 2007. His initials, "LZ", appear etched in the runouts of numerous Australian and US releases. Then a Lacquer Cut By credit is appropriate.

Zervos grew up in Sydney, Australia, and began his career in 1982 at [l=EMI Studios 301], Sydney. By the late 1980s, he had established himself as a top engineer in Australia, mastering hits for artists such as [a=INXS], [a=Crowded House] and [a=Midnight Oil].

In 1993, Zervos moved to New York City, where he worked at [l877923]

In 1999 he became chief mastering engineer at [l=Masterdisk].

In 2004 he became senior mastering engineer at [l=Sterling Sound].

During his time in New York he worked with such artists as [a=Aerosmith], [a=Mobb Deep], [a=Maroon 5], [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/*NSYNC]N'Sync[/url], [a=Avril Lavigne], [a=Gavin DeGraw], [a=Duran Duran], [a=Ben Folds], [a=Citizen Cope].

Zervos returned to Australia in 2007.
