Peter Hesslein

German singer and guitarist, born January 26, 1947 in Hamburg.

In 1968, he joined the Beat band [a1110634], which was the precursor for his later bands in the Krautrock era. In 1970, he was co-founder of [a2442721] and its successor [a294227].

Due to a devastating financial situation he and his bandmates had to work as studio musicians. Hesslein was also part of the [a635654] and of the [a312020] as his 'regular job' to earn money. From the late 1970's until the 2000's, Hesslein was the initiator of numerous reunions of the band.
