Ray Stevens

American novelty singer, musician, comedian, songwriter and producer, born on January 24, 1939 in Clarkdale, Georgia. Brother of [a=John Ragsdale], father of [a=Suzi Ragsdale].

Proficient on several instruments. Production work in the mid 1960's. Numerous appearances on the Andy Williams TV show in the late 60's.

Hosted own TV show in 1970. Also recorded as Henhouse Five Plus Two.

Operated [l=Ray Stevens Sound Laboratory] recording studio in the 70's in Nashville, TN.
