American songwriter and musician (singer & guitarist), born March 25, 1952, best known for composing the songs "Hanging on the Telephone" (covered by [a=Blondie]) and "Come Back And Stay" (covered by [a=Paul Young]).

Lee died from colon cancer in Santa Monica, California on May 26, 2023, at the age of 71.
