Carlos Gomez

Carlos Gomez has an extensive history as a percussion player of many different genres, including Soul, Latin, Flamenco, Jazz, Salsa and House... playing with such great talents as the Nuyorican Soul Orchestra, The Gypsy Kings and Tito Puente. Carlos obtained formal training in percussion at the University of Matanzas and Folkcuba-Instituto, both located in Cuba. He has contributed as a teacher and accompanist, from New York to California, for over twenty years, accompanying Afro-Haitian and Afro-Cuban dance classes and teaching Conga Technique.
