Ola Magnell

Swedish singer, songwriter, and guitarist, born on January 20, 1946, in Kalmar församling, Kalmar, Småland, and died on February 6, 2020, in Smedstorp, Tomelilla, Skåne.

Ola Magnell, who grew up on Skälby farm in Kalmar and was then registered with his father's surname Petersson, studied at [url=https://www.facebook.com/lunduniversity]Lund University[/url] and between 1970 and 1971 at the then independent [b]'Journalisthögskolan i Göteborg (JHG)'[/b] (Gothenburg School of Journalism), which in 1990 was integrated into [l1428960] as [b]'Institutionen för journalistik, medier och kommunikation (JMG)'[/b] (the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication) within the Faculty of Social Sciences. He was then registered with his mother's maiden name, Magnell, after his father's death in 1960.

Magnell had already begun working as a troubadour during high school. He gradually began writing his own songs in the wake of the 1960s so-called folk song renaissance, but was also influenced by early 1960s rock and contemporary American singer/songwriters.

Ola Magnell and [a7276746] lived together in a long-term cohabiting relationship, alternating between the Saint Matthew district in Stockholm (Stockholms Sankt Matteus distrikt), where Ola Magnell was registered at the time of his death, and from 2001 at the address Tunbyholm 171, Smedstorp in Tomelilla Municipality, Skåne, where Ola Magnell passed away at the residence, after having suffered from heart problems for several years.
