Mark Mothersbaugh

American musician, composer, singer and painter, born 18 May 1950 in Akron, Ohio, USA. Son of [a=Robert L. Mothersbaugh], brother of [a=Bob Mothersbaugh] and [a=Jim Mothersbaugh].

Formed Devo in 1973 with [a=Gerald V. Casale]. During a Devo hiatus between 1984-1988, Mothersbaugh released instrumental solo albums in his Musik For Insomniaks series and began a lucrative career as a soundtrack artist, starting with Pee-Wee's Playhouse in 1986, and in 1994, he began scoring films.
