Makoto Ayukawa

Japanese guitarist, singer and songwriter best known as the leader of Sheena & The Rokkets and a founding member of the Japanese rock band Sonhouse.

Born May 2, 1948 in Fukuoka, Japan.

Died January 29, 2023.

Ayukawa was one of the central figures of Japanese rock and blues rock, known for his raw guitar style and long career spanning more than five decades.
