Singer, guitarist and minor percussionist (played maracas, clave, güiro and bongos)

He was born on April 10, 1909 in Camagüey.

At 10 years old, he was already looking for life singing and dancing on the streets of his hometown.

In 1926 he arrived in Havana and passed through the Luna Quartet.

Then in 1931 with Don Azpiazu he collected Europe.

While in New York in 1936, he founded the Cuarteto Chiquito.

In 1957 he visited Cuba for the current 50 Years of Cuban Music Festival directed by Gaspar Pumarejo, but he returned to New York where he lived.

I sing with the orchestras of Xavier Cugat, Pedro Via, Hermanos Morales, Filiberto Rico, Cuarteto Caney, D 'Arteaga, Alberto Socarrás, Noro Morales, Lud Gluskin, Paul Whitman, Rudy Vallee and Cleyde Lucas.
