Randy Merrill

US mastering engineer.

Started assisting and engineering at studios in NYC in 1999.

He spent five years as a technical engineer at [l=Avatar Studios], where he also was involved in the construction of their mastering facility. It was at this point that he decided to pursue a career in mastering.

In early 2006, he joined [l=Scott Hull Mastering] production engineer. When Scott Hull purchased [l=Masterdisk] in 2008 he became a staff engineer there.

In 2013 he joined the staff of [l=Sterling Sound] and continued at [l1517591] since 2018. Has been assisting and co-engineering Tom Coyne’s projects, as well as mastering for his own clients.

He is married to [a=Aya Merrill], who also works at Sterling.
