He was the original host of The Hollywood Squares from 1966 to 1981 and had almost fifty television, movie, and Broadway credits. Inducted, 2013, West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.

Performed the character [a=Bert Healy] in the 1982 movie version of "Annie".
