Buck Ormsby

Buck Ormsby (born October 29, 1941 - died October 29, 2016, Tepic, Mexico) was an American bassist, songwriter and producer.

He originally played steel guitar until he was recruited by [a607732] and switched to bass guitar. When The Wailers got into a dispute with their East Coast record company, Ormsby came up with the idea of forming the band’s own label, [l82913]. In the early 1980's, he revived Etiquette Records and spent the rest of his life devoted to the craft and the business of music.
