American percussionist, born in 1950 in Detroit, Michigan (USA) where, still in her teens, she performed uncredited on many Motown records. Lived in Europe for a couple of years, then moved to Los Angeles where she became an in-demand session musician. She has worked with [a=Marvin Gaye], [a=Stevie Wonder], [a=Bob Dylan], [a=Carole King], [a=Joni Mitchell] and [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/262944-James-Taylor-2]James Taylor[/url] to name a few. She has also released one solo album, viz. Body Language For Lovers (1977). Often credited as Ms. Bobbye Hall and even as Bobby Hall. Since her marriage to [a230025] she has sometimes been credited as Bobbye Hall Porter or Bobbye Porter Hall.
