Mike Fisher (2)
Michael Fisher, born January 07,1948, manager, sound engineer, producer, guitarist and co-founder for the band Heart died. He was 77.
Heart formed their band in 1967, with bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Michael (drums) and Roger Fisher (guitar). The group had a few name changes before landing on Heart, including Army, Hocus Pocus, and White Heart. Mike Fisher had already stepped back from the band line-up before the release of their debut album Dreamboat Annie, but he was still very much involved with the band in various roles, for example as their manager or soundman. For much of the seventies Mike Fisher was romantically involved with lead singer [a=Ann Wilson] and Mike Fisher was the “Magic Man” in the popular song of [a=Heart] with the same title.
Michael Fisher’s death (from pancreatic cancer) was announced in a Facebook post on Aug. 19, 2025 by his brother Roger Fisher.
