American country music singer and songwriter.

Born: April 7, 1933 in Moundsville, West Virginia. Died: November 3, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Her diabetic condition led to blindness, and then to death at only 35 years old.

Member of the WWVA Original Jamboree. She was in an early duo with Dottie West called the Kay-Dots for the Landmark Jubilee television show.
