Howard Rutman

Childhood friend and cousin of Robert Zimmerman (aka Bob Dylan), from St. Paul, Minnesota. Also known as "Howie." The trio of Zimmerman, [a=Larry Kegan] and Rutman recorded a 78 RPM vinyl record in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Christmas Eve 1956, as "The Jokers," which was first-ever Dylan recording. On the recording, Zimmerman played the piano while the three sang doo-wop songs such as "Be-Bop-a-Lula" and "Earth Angel."

Later became a dentist.
