Bobby Massey

1960s-1980s soul artist, producer, and songwriter from Canton, Ohio.

Born in Canton, Ohio in 1942, Bobby Massey was a founding member of The O’Jays. He left the group in 1971, shortly before they signed to Gamble and Huff’s Philadelphia International label. He then concentrated on production. President at [l=Devaki Records]. Bobby Massey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
