Michael Schubert, born in 1958, graduated as a sound engineer from the Hanns Eisler University in Berlin. He first worked for [l269033] and in 1995 he went to the [a262469], where he worked as sound engineer, studio manager and finally chief sound engineer.

Michael Schubert has been professor for Music Recording/Tonmeister with a focus on Popular Music at the Detmold University of Music since 2008 and was elected director of the Erich Thienhaus Institute (ETI) in 2012.
