Tim "Herb" Alexander

Born in April 10th, 1965 in Cherry Point, North-Carolina, USA.

Alexander is a retired drummer who is most known for playing drums for [a=Primus] since the beginning of the band in 1989. He left in 1996 but has returned two more times to Primus before he quit abruptly and effectively for good in 2024. He has since retired the profession of drums in lack of passion of playing, health reasons and desire to spend more time with his family.

Between his periods with Primus, he also played in various side-project bands, such as: [a=Laundry (3)], [a=Attention Deficit (2)], [a=Fata Morgana (6)], Tirebelly, [a=Oxygene 8] and [a=Blue Man Group]. Tim operates [l=Ghost Town Studios, Jerome, AZ].

As a freelance drummer Tim has also hosted numerous drum clinics.

Earned his nickname "Herb" from the bandmembers of Primus, because he used to take herbal remedies. Tim has played Pork Pie and Tama drums.
