James Cruz is a Grammy Award winning audio mastering engineer and owner of [l=Zeitgeist Sound Studios] in Long Island City, New York.

He started his career in 1995 at [l=The Hit Factory]. In 2000 he then moved on to work as a senior mastering engineer at [l=Sony Music Studios, New York City], before it closed down in 2007. His next stop was [l=Trutone Mastering], where he stayed for a year, before founding [l=Zeitgeist Sound Studios] in 2008.
