George Cobb

American composer, best known for ragtimes, including both instrumentals & ragtime songs.

Born August 31, 1886 Died December 25, 1942.

Cobb also composed other works including marches and waltzes. [a=Jack Yellen] was a frequent lyricist for the songs. Cobb's most famous work is "The Russian Rag" based on Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C-sharp minor, Op.3, No.2.
