Carlos Zanón

Carlos Zanón (Barcelona, 1966) is an spanish poet, scriptwriter, columnist and literary critic.

In the 80's played bass and was lead singer in [a=Alicia Golpea].

He published his first poems in the late 1980s and has published seven volumes so far, lauded by the critics. As a narrator, he debuted in 2008 with the novel [i]Nadie ama a un hombre bueno[/i] [Nobody loves a good man]. After that he published [i]Tarde, mal y nunca[/i] [Late, bad and never] (2009, Premio Brigada 21 for the best first crime novel of the year), [i]No llames a casa[/i] [Don’t call at home] (2012, Premio Valencia Negra for the best crime novel of the year), [i]Yo fui Johnny Thunders[/i] (2013, Premio Salamanca Negra 2014, Novelpol 2015 and Dashiell Hammett 2015), the story collection [i]Marley estaba muerto[/i] (2015) and [i]Taxi[/i] (2017). His work has been translated and published in the USA, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Germany.

He has written songs for [a=Loquillo] and [a=Brighton 64].
