DiMinno was convicted of second degree manslaughter in 1934 & sentenced to 22 years at Sing Sing State Prison.
By the late 1940s, DiMinno had forged a career as a songwriter, and in 1958 wrote his biggest hit, ‘Return to Me’ for Dean Martin. It was later recorded by Chris Isaak, Bob Dylan, Marty Robbins, the McGuire Sisters, Connie Francis & others.
DiMinno was one of [a275681]'s chief songwriters, penning a few hits for the crooner. He collaborated musically with Ted Koehler, Carmen Lombardo, Johnny Tucker, Larry Conley, Joe Schuster, and George Cardini.
