Justine Frischmann

Born: September 16, 1969, Twickenham, Middlesex, England.

Justine Frischmann studied architecture at University College London where she met fellow student [a289520]: they co-founded [a92564] in 1989. Two years later, she left the band and founded [a232940] with ex-Suede drummer, [a263391]. Elastica’s self-titled first album was released in 1995; the band split in 2001 after releasing one more album.

In 2005 she moved to Boulder, Colorado to study painting at Naropa University. She now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she works as a painter.
