At AnonyxGhost, we're musicians, producers, programmers and music executives. Together, we built this platform to solve problems we faced ourselves, problems like hidden fees, slow payouts, and being treated like a number instead of an artist.
We also built it to solve a problem that affects every legitimate artist: bad actors.
Bad Actors Exist. They Try Us Daily.
Every day, someone tries to upload music they don't own. Every day, our systems catch them, through audio fingerprinting, metadata checks, and careful moderation. And every day, we reject those releases, terminate those accounts, and withhold royalties.
We know bad actors exist. We know they'll keep trying. But here's the truth:
We cannot afford to keep them around.
Bad Actors Make Us Look Bad
Here's something many artists don't consider: when a bad actor uploads infringing content through our platform, it doesn't just hurt the original copyright holder. It makes us look bad to our distribution partners. It makes us look bad to the stores. It puts our entire catalog at risk.
One bad actor can jeopardize the releases of every legitimate artist on our platform. That's not a risk we're willing to take.
We've Built Tools to Stop Them
We didn't just hope bad actors would stay away. We built systems to catch them:
- Audio fingerprinting, Every track is scanned against millions of commercial releases. If it matches something you don't own, we catch it before it ever reaches a store.
- Metadata validation, We check ISRCs, UPCs, artist credits, and more. If something doesn't add up, we flag it.
- Human review, Our team reviews suspicious releases before they go to stores.
- Repeat offender tracking, We know who you are. If you've been warned before, we escalate.
These tools work. We've caught dozens of infringing releases, terminated repeat offenders, and kept our catalog clean.
We Don't Have VC Funding or Deep Pockets
We're not backed by venture capital. We don't have millions in the bank to absorb fraud losses, pay legal settlements, or repair relationships with stores when infringement slips through.
What we have is a clean catalog, a growing roster of legitimate artists, and a commitment to protecting both.
If we let bad actors stay, we risk everything, our partnerships with distributors, our reputation with stores, and most importantly, the trust of the artists who depend on us.
How We Handle Infringement
When we receive a copyright claim, we notify the affected user immediately. We give them the opportunity to resolve the issue with the claimant. If they can't, or won't, we treat it as a valid infringement.
We don't terminate accounts for no reason. We're not automated robots. We investigate. We gather evidence. We make sure.
But when we're certain a user is a bad actor, we act without hesitation.
- Account terminated, no second chances
- Royalties withheld, pending investigation or claimant resolution
- No appeals for repeat offenders, we've already given warnings
- Reported to distributors, so other platforms can avoid them too
We Won't Let Bad Actors Jeopardize Our Platform
This isn't just about protecting ourselves. It's about protecting every legitimate artist who depends on us.
When you upload your music to AnonyxGhost, you're trusting us to get it to stores, collect your royalties, and represent your work. We take that trust seriously. And we won't let a few bad actors ruin it for everyone else.
If you're a legitimate artist, you have nothing to worry about. Our moderation systems protect you. Our policies protect you. We've got your back.
If you're a bad actor, you're wasting your time. We'll catch you, terminate you, and report you. Every time.
Why This Matters for Legitimate Artists
Every bad actor we remove protects the artists who play by the rules.
- Your releases reach stores faster, less noise in the moderation queue
- Your royalties stay clean, no fraudulent streams diluting the pool
- Your catalog stays safe, no risk of takedowns due to someone else's fraud
- Your reputation stays intact, you're not associated with a platform that tolerates infringement
If You're a Bad Actor, Please Don't Sign Up
This isn't a threat. It's a courtesy.
There are platforms with deep pockets and loose enforcement. Go there. Do your experiments elsewhere.
We serve artists who create, who own their work, who pay their subscriptions, and who depend on us to get their music to the world.
We can't afford to let you jeopardize that. And we won't.
We're not just a distribution platform. We're a community of artists who care about each other's success. And we protect our own.
