1. Getting Started

Accessing the Release Module

Navigate to the Releases section in your AnonyxGhost dashboard. You'll be presented with a clean interface including:

• Filter Pills: Quick filters for Pending, Approved, and Rejected releases
• Action Buttons: Create new release or transfer existing ones
• Search Bar: Search through your releases
• Data Table: List of all your releases with key information

2. Creating a New Release

Step 1: Initiate Release Creation

Click the "+" button (Create) located in the top-right corner of the page. This opens the Release Creation Modal.

Step 2: Complete the Release Form

The release modal contains several sections. Let's explore each one in detail.

3. Understanding Release Fields

Basic Information

Artwork Tips:

• Click the "Choose File" button to upload your image
• The filename will automatically populate the Release Name if left empty
• Supported formats: All major image formats (JPEG, PNG, etc.)
• A preview will appear after upload

Language & Content Settings

Genre Selection:

The module offers an extensive list of genres including:

• Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B, Electronic
• Dance, House, Techno, Jazz, Blues
• Classical, Country, Folk, Reggae, Metal
• Punk, Alternative, Indie, Soul, Funk
• Latin, Ambient, Gospel, World, Soundtrack
• And many subgenres like Folk Rock, Pop Rock, Alternative Rock, Progressive Rock, Experimental

Note: If left empty, these fields will auto-populate with your username and current year

4. Managing Artists

Adding Artists to Your Release

1. In the Artists section, click the "Create" button
2. The Artist modal will appear with the following fields:

Smart Feature: When you type a full name with a space in the "Artist Name" field, it automatically splits into First and Last Name fields!

Artist Management Tips

• Each artist appears as a dropdown pill in the Artists section
• Click on an artist pill to edit their information
• Click the trash icon to remove an artist
• Multiple artists can be added to a single release

5. Managing Labels

Adding Record Labels

1. In the Labels section, click the "Create" button
2. The Label modal requires only:

Labels function similarly to artists and appear as selectable pills in the interface.

6. Creating Tracks

Adding Tracks to Your Release

1. In the Tracks section, click the "Create" button
2. The Track modal contains comprehensive fields:

Track Information

Track Artists

• Artists can be assigned per track
• Click "Create" to add new artists specific to this track
• Existing release artists are automatically available

Audio File

Audio Upload Features:

• The track name auto-populates from the filename
• Supported format: WAV (audio/wav, audio/x-wav, .wav)
• File preview available after upload

Track Copyright

Each track can have its own copyright information:

• © Text and Year - Track-specific copyright
• ℗ Text and Year - Track-specific phonographic copyright

Note: These auto-populate from release data if left empty

7. Selecting Distribution Stores

Store Selection Interface

The Stores section displays a grid of available distribution platforms:

The module supports distribution to major platforms including:

How to Select Stores

1. Click on any store option to select it
2. Selected stores show a checkmark icon ✓
3. Click again to deselect
4. Default selection: All major platforms are pre-selected

Store Status Indicators

• Active - Clickable, normal stores
• Disabled - Grayed out, unavailable (e.g., Facebook/Instagram, YouTube Content ID)

8. Setting Release Dates

Release Date Configuration

Important Rules:

• Minimum 3 days from today's date
• Date picker automatically enforces this rule
• Format: YYYY-MM-DD

9. Completing Your Release

Validation and Submission

When you click the confirmation button (Create or Update), the system automatically:

1. Validates all required fields
2. Shows errors if any fields are missing:
   • File upload fields: "Upload [field]..."
   • Text fields: "Fill the [field]"
3. Auto-fills certain fields if empty:
   • Copyright text with username
   • Copyright year with current year (2026)

After Successful Creation

Your release will appear in the releases table with:

• Status: PENDING (initial state)
• Artwork preview in the table view
• Creation timestamp
• Available actions (View, Delete)

10. Transferring Existing Releases

Using the Transfer Feature

The Transfer tool allows you to import existing releases from Spotify:

1. Click the "Transfer" button
2. Paste a Spotify URL in the input field
3. The system automatically:
   • Reads your clipboard for Spotify links
   • Fetches release data
   • Creates a pre-filled release form

11. Managing Your Releases

Release Dashboard Features

Filter Pills

• All - View all releases
• Pending - Releases under review
• Approved - Releases ready for distribution
• Rejected - Releases that didn't pass review

Search Function

Search across all your releases by name or other attributes.

Release Status Icons

• 🟡 PENDING - Under review
• 🔵 APPROVED - Ready for distribution
• 🔴 REJECTED - Needs attention
• ⏳ INCOMPLETE - Missing information

Viewing Release Details

Click on any release row or the "View" action to:

• See complete release information
• View all tracks with their details
• Check artist assignments
• Review selected stores
• Note: View mode is read-only (disabled fields)

Deleting Releases

1. Click the trash icon on any release
2. Confirm deletion in the modal
3. Action cannot be undone

12. Best Practices

Before Submission Checklist

• High-quality artwork (square format, minimum 3000x3000px)
• All tracks in WAV format (16/24-bit, 44.1kHz)
• Accurate metadata (artist names, featuring artists)
• Correct explicit content flags
• Review copyright text and years
• Verify store selections
• Check release date (minimum 3 days ahead)

Tips for Success

1. Artwork: Use professional, high-resolution images
2. Audio Quality: Ensure WAV files are properly mastered
3. Metadata: Double-check spellings and credits
4. Genres: Choose the most accurate genre for better discoverability
5. Release Date: Account for store processing times (3+ days)
