Salsa pianist, arranger, orchestra director, producer. Raised in a "Nuyorican" household, his parents were from Naguabo and Carolina, Puerto Rico. He is credited in revolutionizing with the urban salsa sound in the early 1990s by blending salsa with: freestyle, pop, hip hop,funk and jazz influences.
