Octopizzo

Henry Ohanga, widely known by his artistic persona Octopizzo, is an award-winning recording and performing artist, philanthropist, and emerging entrepreneur. Hailing from the vast Kibera informal settlement in Nairobi, which ranks among the world's largest slums, he leveraged his deep passion for music to transcend his humble origins.

To date, Octopizzo has put out seven full-length albums, among them the project Refugeenius, created alongside more than 20 refugees residing in the Dadaab and Kakuma refugee settlements. On an international level, he is widely celebrated for his dedicated community advocacy and commitment to youth development. His recent albums, Jungle Fever and Lamu Nights, have both earned consideration for Grammy nominations.
