Lilmaina

Lil Maina is a Kenyan artist bringing a new-school perspective to Genge while staying rooted in the sound and culture of Nairobi.

Known for his distinctive delivery, infectious energy and effortless use of Sheng, Lil Maina has built a sound that moves between Genge, Afro influences and contemporary African music without losing its Kenyan identity. His music captures the language, humour, confidence and everyday experiences of a generation growing up in Nairobi.

Rather than being confined to one sound, Lil Maina continues to evolve experimenting with new styles while carrying the raw energy that first introduced him to his audience.

With Kenya at the foundation and the world in sight, Lil Maina represents a new generation of East African artists pushing local sound beyond borders.
