Nichelle Nichols

American actress, singer and voice artist, born December 28, 1932 in Robbins, Illinois, USA, died July 30, 2022 in Silver City, New Mexico, USA, at the age of 89.

She is known for her role as "Lieutenant Uhura" in the original Star Trek television series (1966–1969) and subsequent films.
