Tems

Tems is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer whose voice has quietly reshaped global music. Rooted in Lagos and guided by instinct rather than convention, Tems creates from a place of honesty, vulnerability, and deep spiritual awareness.

She first emerged with a sound that felt both intimate and expansive; music that doesn’t chase moments, but creates them. Following the critically acclaimed For Broken Ears and If Orange Was a Place, Tems released her long-awaited debut album, Born in the Wild, a body of work that captures her growth, discipline, and emotional range. The album marked a defining moment in her journey; fully self-possessed, globally resonant, and unmistakably her own.

Tems’ impact has been recognised at the highest levels. She is a multiple Grammy Award winner, and has received multiple Grammy nominations across her solo work and collaborations. She has also been honoured with BET Awards, Billboard recognition, and international acclaim, cementing her place as one of the most influential African artists of her generation.

Tems represents a new archetype of African artistry: self-directed, globally fluent, and purpose-led. She writes, co-produces, and curates her work with rare attentiveness, listening deeply, learning quickly, and speaking only when it matters.

At her core, Tems’ music is about freedom, emotion, creativity and spirituality. Each record is an invitation into her inner world: unfiltered, fearless, and grounded in truth.
