Alondra de la Parra

Alondra de la Parra (born October 31, 1980) is a Mexican conductor. She was also the founder and artistic director of the New York-based [a4723034]. Currently she is the artist director of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra. She stepped down at the end of the 2013 season. In October, 2015, the [a1091829] announced that she will become its Music Director and principal conductor in 2017; she will be the first woman ever to hold that post.
