Lord Clinchy

Lord Clinchy (Mtoi wa Kanyagem) is a dynamic music artist from Siaya, Kenya, known for his genre-blending sound rooted in rap and gengedancehall—a fusion of Gengetone’s street energy with the rhythmic pulse of dancehall. His versatility extends to Hip Hop and Afro music, showcasing his adaptability and creative range.

After honing his craft in high school, Lord Clinchy fully embraced music post-graduation, diving into Nairobi’s vibrant scene. His journey led him to Black Market Records, where he collaborated with top talents like Vic West (producer of Kuna Kuna) and Joefes of Mbuzi Gang, culminating in their hit track TOA STINGO.

Driven by the desire to rival mainstream acts, Lord Clinchy sees himself beyond the “upcoming” label—his high-quality sound speaks volumes. His choice of gengedancehall reflects Kenya’s love for danceable, energetic music, positioning him as a bold voice in the country’s evolving sonic landscape.
