Ronn Goedert

Lead vocalist and percussionist for the 1970s glam rock band, [a1240868]. Born on September 28th, 1950

After the original band split up during a major line up change, Goedert enlisted a new line up which consisted of guitarist [a2248913], bassist [a1797469], and his brother [a2233359] on drums.

This new band was orginally named Star Child however they reverted back to [a1240868] in 1976.

After recording a 4 - track demo tape, the group was signed to [l1610] in 1978 and began recording an album which was meant to be a third [a1240868] album, however, this would be changed after a ownership rights issue arose.

The group's sole album, [m963251] was released under the name, [a1240866] as if it were a solo debut instead of a group release much to band's vexation.

After the album's release, the group would go on tour supporting and opening for many well known acts such as [a98381], [a113655], and [a48412].

Once the tour was over the band was dropped from their label and soon broke up afterwards

Goedert would be diagnosed with cancer in the late 1990s, ending a planned reunion with the original members of [a1240868]

He would succumb to the disease on July 16, 2000 in Tampa, Florida
